Today, I handed in my depth-of-field assignment. I am the first to admit: not my best work. I've even had "oopsie" photos that came out better. I mean, although I couldn't get my pins to stand the way I wanted I am pretty happy with the outcome. The shoes? Nooooooooooooot so much. Of course, my lazy self COULD'VE ironed the background. I think I was so tired by then, I just didn't bother. Then I had wanted to make a tower of shoes, but it just didn't work so I ended up only using three. I worked where sunlight came in so as to not use my multi-colored lights. Plus, AFTER I did the shooting I realized my eyes may have something wrong. I realized the photos were just not as sharp as the pins photo. Go figure. You'd think it'd be harder for me to focus on the smaller items. Anyways, I'm still a newb. I hated turning them in but that's what happens when you procrastinate.
Why pins and shoes? Why things I love of course! Shoes...I mean who DOESN'T like shoes? Pins? They're actually pins with different colors of fabric...cause I LOVE sewing. I would actually blow that one up and put in my craft room...that is, if it was invaded by felines I'm trying to get rid of. (Another issue, another time...I promise!)
Right now, the only assignment I have pending is my portraits one for my illumination class. Remember the rock-chic I wanted to do? They changed up the class a bit and so I'll be doing a mother-daughter portrait shoot instead. Not as exciting as what I wanted to do, but I guess that's what pays. You NEED to see this mother-daughter team I got though. They look more like sisters, but really like sisters not trying to kiss butt or anything. Hopefully that will go better. Then, I just need to find out if I can get the studio on a Friday (which I am free from school and other responsibilities) so that I can get that rock-chic shoot done and work on it as long as I want (or as long as they let me). Oh well. Let's see what happens.
